Gordon is in the middle of one of the biggest changes to hit the Upper North Shore in decades — Ku-ring-gai Council's Transport Oriented Development rezoning, finalised in 2025, allows a tower up to 28 storeys on a key site near the station, part of roughly 23,200 new dwellings planned across the TOD corridor over the next 15 years. That's already showing up in our job list: knockdown-rebuilds, major renovations ahead of a sale, and new-build electrical work concentrated within walking distance of the station.
Away from the station precinct it's still heavy-canopy, established Gordon — and this was ground zero for the November 2019 "mini-tornado" storms that cut power to roughly 25,000 North Shore homes, with Gordon and neighbouring Killara the worst affected. Falling branches cause around two-thirds of storm faults on the local network, and we still get called out regularly for point-of-attachment repairs and private power pole replacement after bad weather.

Depends where the fault is. If it's the point of attachment or the private service line getting hit by falling branches, we repair it.
